Pressure cleaning (the old method) and Soft Wash cleaning (the future) are two different methods used for cleaning surfaces, such as house exterior walls, driveways, footpaths, pavers, steps etc. Both are still employed on a daily basis, but Soft Washing is a relatively new and far more refined method only known and utilised by a few of us. Here are the key differences between the two: Pressure Cleaning (old method): 1. Technique: Pressure cleaning, also known as power washing or high pressure cleaning, employs highly pressurised water to (somewhat) forcefully remove dirt, grime, mold, mildew, and other surface contaminants. 2. Water Pressure: It utilizes high-pressure water, typically ranging from 1,200 to 4,000 psi (pounds per square inch), to dislodge and clean the surfaces. We are able to alter this pressure on-the-go so no damage is caused. 3. Suitability: Pressure cleaning is best suited for hard surfaces like concrete, bricks, stone, driveways, pathways, and metal surfaces that can withstand high-pressure water without damage. A more aggressive approach, but highly suitable for particular surfaces. 4. Cleaning Intensity: The high water pressure provides aggressive cleaning, making it effective for removing tough stains, built-up grime, and stubborn dirt. 5. DANGERS - Risk of Damage: Due to the high pressure, there is a risk of damaging delicate surfaces, such as softer woods, paint, window screens, or fragile structures. Care must be taken to avoid any potential damage, which is always our number 1 priority. Corerect training in this method is a must! 'High pressure definitely has its place and is used very often. But it can be a less effective solution as it provides no direct sanitization benefits nor gentle, deeper cleaning properties like soft washing does.' Soft Wash Cleaning (the future): 1. Technique: Soft wash cleaning employs a gentle approach using low-pressure water combined with specialized cleaning solutions to clean and sanitize surfaces. We use environmentally conscious solutions that do no harm to animals or plantlife. This is aimed at a deeper clean removing visible (and non-visible) mold, mildew, black and green marks on walls and ground surfaces etc. 2. Water Pressure: Soft wash typically utilizes water pressure ranging from 100 to 500 psi, significantly lower than pressure cleaning. Pluys we have a set of complimentary tools such as soft bristled brushes and sparyers to aid in this safe, deep cleaning method. The results speak for themselves. 3. Suitability: Soft wash is suitable for a wide range of surfaces, including house/building exterior walls, rendered surfaces, painted surfaces, vinyl, wood/weatherboards, and delicate materials. Almost anything. It is particularly effective for areas prone to mold, algae, and mildew growth. 4. Cleaning Intensity: Soft wash focuses on the application of eco-friendly cleaning solutions that penetrate the surfaces to manage and remove contaminants, compared to relying solely on high pressure force. 5. BENEFITS - Safety and Preservation: Softwashing minimises the risk of damage to surfaces by using lower pressure. It helps preserve the integrity of materials, extend their lifespan, and protect delicate finishes while still achieving a thorough clean. We also treat areas afterwards with neutralising agents so there is no risk at all to plantilfe and wildlife, kids or animals (and of course you, the home owner!). And, as mentioned ealier, LWC crew are BSCAA (Building Services Contractors Association of Australia) certified, not to mention have over 23 years experience backing us up. ' Softwash cleaning has multiple benefits including application to delicate surfaces, sanitisation and far deeper cleaning of stubborn residue that cannot be cleaned with pressure cleaning alone. No dangerous chemicals'. Both of these examples had already been pressure cleaned and this was the final result (left side photos). The right side photos in each example show the results of Softwash cleaning - full stain removal back to its original surface, and all done gently and effectively! No risk and no damage. In summary, pressure cleaning is a more aggressive method that relies on high water pressure to remove dirt and grime quickly, mainly suitable for harder surfaces (more so in the industrial & commercial sector of things). Soft wash cleaning, on the other hand, utilises lower pressure and eco-friendly cleaning solutions to provide a gentle yet effective clean, making it suitable for a wider range of surfaces, including delicate materials like sandstone, aged concrete, exterior house walls, delicate pavers and more.  By return signing/emailing acceptance of this quotation, the customer is deemed to accept these terms and conditions: 1. PROGRESS PAYMENT 
Unless specified in writing to the contrary, progress payments and/or deposits are to be made by the customer to the window cleaner within (7) days of progress/deposit claims being submitted. As the price quoted is for a lump sum, then Leigh’s Window Cleaning will submit a deposit claim for the agreed upon amount, being 50% of quotation. No works to be started without deposit claim being payed by the customer. 2. CONFLICTING PROVISIONS: 
If these conditions are in conflict with any terms and conditions contained in any other document between the parties, then these terms and conditions shall prevail and take precedence over such conditions (a) In the event of any dispute between the customer and the Leighs Window Cleaning regarding the work carried out or the terms and conditions, then the parties must refer the matter to mediation in an attempt to resolve the dispute before commencing legal action. Notice must be given to Leighs Window Cleaning within 3 days of any complaints of faulty workmanship (otherwise overriding factors such as general weather conditions, but not limited to, can be the cause of any apparent fault). (b) If payment terms are not met, interest charges of 1.5% per month (18% annually) will be added to quoted amount on overdue invoices starting the day following the due date. 
GST - A Goods and Services Tax is applicable to this quotation. The customer is liable to pay this amount, as detailed on the quotation, to the window cleaner as part of the payment for works completed. This quotation is valid for one month and is subject to change. Additional site visit costs can be incurred and invoiced to relevant Owners Corp or individuals. 
Any concerns with quality of workmanship must be addressed with 24 hours of work completion. 
If any surfaces are found to be stained, removal of the stains can be quoted and handled at additional costs (eg Efflorescence, rust, mineral deposit etc. Also anything that would classify as surface restoration as different to surface cleaning). 
Unless sighted & specified, the quote does not include the removal using chemicals or scrapers of paint, etc that may have occurred during construction, renovation or building maintenance works. Cancellation – please advise us minimally 24 hours before work is scheduled. All cancellations within 24 hours will be subject to a cancellation fee equivalent to 50% of the service fee. * If this appointment can not be completed due to no-one being available to let our cleaner into the site you will be charged with a 75% cancellation fee. * If this appointment is cancelled within 48 business hours a 20% cancellation fee will apply. * Cancellation requests must be made during business hours Monday to Friday. * Sms cancellation requests will only be accepted during business hours Monday to Friday. * For all other cancellation requests please call 0478 450 023.
