  • Wet weather questions-is it wasting money?

Is it a waste of time and money to get the windows done over winter or in bad weather? Read on for the professional advice. Again this is an area I've addressed several times with my awesome customers over the years-'But Leigh, doesn't the wet weather equal a waste of time and money...?'. I did cover this earlier in May this year, but its come up with a few customers again and they seem to be surprised at the results when they follow our advice. Yep. I know right?? Who would be surprised that professional advice is actually accurate?? Ha! So, just to reinforce the point, its not so much the rain itself that causes dirty windows (rain water is pure and clean) its when there's already dirty glass, the rain then smears this, or ‘pits’ the dirt, accentuating the dirty appearance of the glass. Or the rain washes off half of the dirt, leaving the other half and it becomes very noticeable in contrast. The best solution is to keep the glass clean and free from build up. This way when pure rain water gets on it, it dries clean. Its no different with the water we use to wash your windows. As soon as it get to a critical point of dirt content in the water itself, theres no point continuing to use it. Its easier and a much better final product, to just quickly refresh the bucket of water and continue. Cool? Alright then! So call me now and lets make the winter house feel fresh and bright! • What suburbs does LWC service?

Over the last 16+ years, we've happily serviced clients from all over Melbourne. Primarily we seem to have attracted the most people from the bayside area, roughly starting from (but definitely not limited to) Port Melbourne and going around the bay to Beaumaris/Parkdale/Mentone. We stretch off the bay-line by 5-6 suburbs, as far as South Melbourne & Fitzroy to Toorak & Armadale to Caulfield North & Glen Iris then also to Bentleigh/Hampton, Highett & Cheltenham. We've also got commercial contracts in areas ranging from Richmond, Doncaster, Epping, Laverton, Toorak, Brighton, Melbourne CBD, Hawthorn and Altona (just to name a few). Of course we have gone a lot further than this to help people out, but this is just the simplified version of areas we frequent. You never know where we'll show up and what we can do, so Give us a shot and you'll no doubt be impressed by our standards and efforts to make you smile! Regards Leigh 0414 413 643.

  • Does wet weather prevent you from Window Cleaning?

Yet again, this potentially inclement (cold or wet) time of year brings up a few questions that are good to talk about. Clearing them up then gives one a good understanding of how we operate and under what conditions. Its a good question, and at times a common one. The short answer is...nope! We come from good stock...(though sometimes my kids tell me differently!) and are willing to work under any conditions to get your house or property looking amazing for you. The only exceptions are occasionally some roofs are not ok in wet weather, and occasionally certain wind conditions (usually combined with wet weather) can cause issues. Simply put, theres too many factors involved to explain the exact combination of what would stop us from proceeding, so best thing we do is to show up and evaluate it on the day. We strictly follow all appropriate safety procedures to ensure nobody gets hurt and no property is at risk of damage. We currently have an unblemished track record on safety, and we definitely plan to keep it this way! Again, if you have any input or questions, call or email me and I'm happy to go into this further as needed, Give me a call now on 0414 413 643 and lets get that ball rolling on making you're house feel great! All the best, Leigh.

  • Winter window cleaning...'I’m not getting the windows done because its going to rain this week..

Hi Friends and inner family of Leighs Window Cleaning! So, sometimes I hear this from our customers or potential newbies: ‘I’m not getting the windows done because its going to rain this week’. Ok, fair call. We do live in Melbourne after all. But honestly, with Melbourne weather, this could happen any time of the year, so autumn and winter is really no excuse. Actually, its not so much the rain itself that causes dirty windows (rain water is pure and clean) its when there's already dirty glass and the rain smears this or ‘pits’ the dirt, accentuating the dirty appearance of the glass. Or sometimes the rain washes off half of the dirt, leaving the other half and it becomes very noticeable. Its no different with the water we use to wash your windows. As soon as it get to a certain point of being dirty, theres no point continuing to use it. Its easier and a much better final product, to just quickly refresh the bucket of water and continue. Or when one washes their car, the water just beads off it like water off a ducks back...🦆. The best solution is to keep the glass clean and free from build up. This way when pure rain water gets on it, it dries clean. Let us help make your house comfortable and feeling fresh, even in these sometimes gloomier months of the year and we'll all feel a lot happier. Its very, very easy and probably one of the cheapest and quickest ways to uplift your home! Make sense? Hope this helps. We love our jobs and love to help! Cheers Leigh. 0414 413 643

  • Is it safe to use your services? Are you insured...?

100%. We have operated as a reliable and safe window cleaning company for over 16 years, without incident/or claim-EVER. We plan to keep it this way but always have our insurance up to date. We tackle everything up to full scale high rise buildings of unlimited height, so its a requirement for us to have $20mil insurance. This puts us in the top small percentage of window cleaning businesses that can offer this peace of mind. Rest assured, we’re insured so we can have you covered on making your property look awesome!

  • BOLD question (but one I often get asked...) 'Do I have to be there?'

'Leigh, do I have to be home when you are cleaning my windows?' Nope, not at all. We know how busy life can get. If we are doing the outsides its easy for us to take complete care of the job while you’re out. So long as we can get out through a side gate (or even over a bit of a fence!) we’ll be ok. We can always get the insides done rapidly while you are still there, then you can lock up and leave us to do the rest. Easy huh??! Yep. Good as gold! Call now, we're always full of ideas and solutions. There's no stopping getting this done!!

  • Q&A: Window Cleaning-how often is right?

Alright, yet another semi-personal type of question but my 16+ years of experience and customer feedback tells the most applicable answer. Its always personal preference and we'd never push you to do anything but what YOU need and want, but here goes with the general good advice: 4 times a year is ideal. This way you get to enjoy clean windows all year round and give your house the best possible chance at staying healthy. A minimum of 2 per year is also ok, and sometimes once a year is done. But the true benefits are often lost (though this is definitely better than not doing it at all). it all comes down to how long you can bear to look through gloomy tainted glass and not enjoy that fresh crisp feeling and clear views. After about 6-8 weeks the build-up can begin to get noticeable, but this doesn't necessarily mean it's a waste of time (not at all actually! See our other articles on benefits of keeping your glass in good nic). So, whatever you'd like we're happy to accomodate, but the general idea is why not give yourself a beautiful house 4 times a year?? Its not really that big an expense once you see the awesome benefits really! Give us a try and lets see how good w can make our house look now! Regards Leigh.

  • Does it take very long to clean my windows?

No not at all. Obviously it depends on the property, but an average double storey house takes us approximately 2.5 hours for in and out. And often our customers will ask us to do the insides quickly first (takes about an hour or so) then they can lock up and leave and we complete the outsides. We always call back to make sure everything is perfect and our customers are happy! Try us now, you might be surprised at just how fast we can do this home improvement for you.

  • What ARE the benefits of Window Cleaning my property?

Ok so, I often get asked, by not-yet-devotees, exactly what ARE the benefits they will enjoy from having our team take their window cleaning worries off their minds??? Here is a minimalist few answers (didn't REALLY want to bore you too much!) to why this problem being solved is well worth it! Clear views. Fresh feeling house. Minimal cost for incredible (and often unbelieveable) level of improvement. Maintaining your investment. No decay or permanent staining/damage to the glass. Hassle free. Rapidly completed. Perfect service. Simple and efficient so you don't have to worry or do it yourself. Wow, think I might go book my own team now to clean MY windows! All the best and Im looking forward to hearing from you now! Leigh.

  • Q&A: Can you access my high windows? If so, how do you do it? Is it safe?

Sometimes the questions get raised, 'How do you access our high windows?' Well, simply put, its easy for us...we have been doing this for almost 20 years now after all! We use all industry tools (and are trained and licensed for the use of them) from extension poles that reach up to 4+ storeys high to step and extension ladders. PLUS we have the big guns, Abseil technicians, for when difficult, unusual or high rise access is needed, or cherry picker type machines of any size. Naturally we use correct judgement with these tools so that safety and dangers are managed correctly at all times which insures the building, our workers and all people around from any and all harm. We have an amazing track record of safety that would rival any and all companied in the industry. But most importantly, our customers are fully at ease with our observable competence and precaution. So, be totally at ease with our competent judgement and expertise when employing any needed tools and machinery to complete your job safely and on time. Let me know what questions I can answer when your ready. Looking forward to talking to you soon! Warm Regards, Leigh Crouch. Owner & Operator Leighs Window Cleaning

  • Q&A: Can you do the insides of my windows safely & efficiently also?

Do you do in and out of my windows? Yes absolutely. Totally risk-free and we take the utmost care on the inside of your house. It is also recommended to do insides as the 'build-up' is often less noticeable (compared to outside build-up on the glass) and often overlooked or not seen until outs are done. What about mirrors? YES! These come up unbelievably beautiful when we do them. There is a bit of a fine art to mirrors, and we have it down pat. This completes the job in its entirety and makes a noticeable difference to the appearance and feel of your home when done. Restore that 'like-new' feel to you house now easily.
