While it seems we have had some much needed rains, we are seeing the sun starting to poke his nose through from time to time, giving hope of Spring just around the corner. If you're like me, you're well and truly sick of being cooped up on weekends sheltering from the wet. PRESSURE CLEANING Pressure Cleaning: Any surface can be cleaned from you're whole house, outdoor furniture or even just the driveway, a set of pavers or the front fence. Pressure cleaning is quite simple and effective if done correctly. Forget the little machine from bunnings-these are just meant for rinsing off a car-not for cleaning surfaces of dirt, moss and the likes, and often leave a lot of lines which just makes it all look worse. For a proper job you will need a much more capable machine. GUTTER CLEANING Gutter clearing/Cleaning: Its always a good idea to give a thorough inspection and clean out of gutters. After all, they do catch a lot of debris from rooftops and if clogged, they can pose a risk to both the general 'Health' of your house plus the possibility of causing overflow and house damage. A far cry from their job of safely funnelling away downpours of rain. WINDOW CLEANING Window Cleaning: Of course, what easier way to make the whole house feel like new! And what better way to let the sun shine through. This often seemingly easy or simple task can go from what you thought might take you an hour or two to taking away you're whole day from you. Yuk! Who wants to waste an entire day on cleaning windows when you have Melbournes amazing food and coffee to devour instead...?! We alway recommend getting them done at least a couple of times a year so you can spot clean and maintain them between cleans. Hello to our favourite people-our customers! So, sometimes I hear this from our customers or potential newbies: ‘I’m not getting the windows done because its going to rain this week’ or 'I'll wait until Spring...' OR 'Are you SERIOUS?? (often followed by 'Ok fine, lets do it). Alright then, fair call. We do live in Melbourne after all. We all know that at any time of the year Melbourne could show us all 4 seasons in one day, but why not enjoy freshening up the house in the (sometimes) colder more risky time of the year. It still looks great and feels really good too. Pretty much all the time through Winter when we do a window clean, my customers will say 'Wow, that feels better, why didn't I get that done sooner?'. Yep, its often the case. Actually, its not so much the rain itself that causes dirty windows (rain water is pure and clean) its when there's already dirty glass and the rain smears this or ‘pits’ the dirt, accentuating the dirty appearance of the glass. Or sometimes the rain washes off half of the dirt, leaving the other half and it becomes more noticeable. Its not much different with the water we use to wash your windows. As soon as it get to a certain point of being dirty, theres no point continuing to use it. Its easier and a much better final product, to just quickly refresh the bucket of water and continue. And in fact with our cutting edge filtration technology on our water fed equipment, the water is filtered and altered in such a way that it attracts the dirt away from your glass as we clean (the technical term is 'Ion exchange' which happens when we use a filter and special resin to alter the water particles, making them dirt magnets. Its pretty cool really!). Also think of when one washes their car, the water just beads off it like water off a ducks back...🦆. The best solution is to keep the glass clean and free from build up. This way when pure rain water gets on it, it dries clean. Also take a look at us cleaning other surfaces on your building and the difference this makes. We can pressure wash, manually clean or use this special water for the job to preserve the building facade and make it look great. and dont forget the Gutter clean! Should I get my windows cleaned in winter or bad weather? Yes, absolutely. But the real question is...why wouldn't you?? We're all about making people feel comfortable and fresh, and not about wasting peoples time or money. We know it helps make you feel better and less gloomy, but its also important to maintain your glass whilst it is being punished by weather. Also rain-proofing your house with regular gutter cleaning maintenance makes sure you're safe and risk free from overflow and go house damage. The goal is not only a clear view of the outside, but also the maintenance of your investment and keeping away any glass decaying. Once 'decay' or hard water staining sets in, it can very often become permanent or costly to revive. Mineral deposit markings, permanent etching of the glass and the like are unsightly and can be avoided with routine cleaning. the whole idea is to keep you're home beautiful, maintain value and most importantly, make you feel great while enjoying its beauty. Hi again Guys & Girls! Just thought I'd keep you up to date with what sort of ventures we've been up to lately as I often get a look of surprise from some of you when I tell you what we have been doing. Whether it be a high rise or a commercial industrial estate or...a SCHOOL! Yep, with holidays just over we have been busy at one of our favourite locations getting it looking awesome again for all the little people that will soon become the big people of our society. Its something we are particularly fond of as we have great memories ourselves of our school life, so we love to make it a clean happy environment for these people (and the wonderful dedicated teachers that work there too!). Naturally, we are compliant on Working with Children checks and Police checks, we have current insurance documentation for you to view as necessary and are qualified in all aspects of job safety and efficiency. Melbourne's weather is starting to get a few breaks and these cool, clear, crisp days are setting everyones pants on fire! We're getting out there cleaning more windows than ever before and everyone is so relieved and happy that we make this home improvement for them with ease, affordability and punctuality. Have you got pesky birds or possums making a mess up high on your property? Then bird/animal 'spikes' are the answer! They cause no harm to animal or property, but keep these unwelcome visitors well away. I often get asked- 'Hey Leigh, while you're up there...' Whether we're doing a 250 apartment building or a single storey house, I'm commonly asked to take a look the gutters, or replace a light bulb, or install some bird and possum spikes. We can do this and it surprising the amount of times, and places, we have added them. These systems can prevent animal waste from clogging up areas (which looks unsightly and can smell quite bad) and can contribute to decaying of building areas, eventually being potentially very costly and the consuming.
